Fancy a good yarn? The 3.1 & 3.3 BOOK SALE will take place on Friday 6th December in the front room of No. 7. Take this opportunity to clear some space on your bookshelf and share your old books with your friends. Donations of books will be accepted up to and including the day of the sale and remember to exchange each book you donate for a ticket for the super raffle.
The BOOK SALE will be open to all classes during lunch-time and individual classes will be brought to the sale during the day. Come ready to stock up as books will be sold from as little as 50 cents. Remember the more you read, the more lives you know. All proceeds from the BOOK SALE will be shared between the ISPCC and Cork Cancer Research.
Our 1st and 2nd yrs will attend Discovery 2013 in the City Hall on Monday 18th November. Loads to explore with interactive exhibitions, displays and a workshop with Science Magician, Paul McCrory.

Congratulations to the girls on the Senior C Hockey team who beat Laurel Hill by 2 goals to 0 in the 1st round of the Munster Senior schoolgirl cup. Goals for Scoil Mhuire were scored by Louise Barry and Sadhbh O’Leary, who helped keep up Scoil Mhuire’s unbeaten record in the league and cup this year.

We would also like to congratulate the Science Department on their success in having four students accepted in the Young Scientist Competition 2014. Well done to Clare Keaveney Jimenez ( VI Year) who has had her entry accepted. Also well done to Abby Horgan , Ciara Donoghue and Ciara Murph, who are all in Second Year 1 , whose entry has also been accepted. We wish them all the very best.
The Junior School are holding an open day tomorrow Thursday the 24th of October. The school will be open for prospective parents and students from 9:30 am to 2:15 pm. All are welcome.
