Well done to Rachel O’Riordan and Anna Cronin who had a very successful day last Saturday in the inaugural Munster School Integrated Oratory Competition. Anna picked up a special 2nd place award for her Junior/Senior combined debate.
As part of the celebrations to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 rising, Scoil Mhuire held events on the 15th of March to mark Proclamation Day in Ireland. This was celebrated with the raising of the Irish Tricolour accompanied by musical interludes and readings of the Proclamation. In preparation for today’s events the students of Scoil Mhuire have spent many months developing a New Proclamation relevant to their generation in 2016.
